What is Remote Backup Service?

Remote Backup is accomplished through a program installed on your computer that automatically sends encrypted copies of your valuable data at a prescribed time to the offsite location of Starr Business Solutions's dedicated server.

No staff member is required to monitor the process. The procedure is completely secured by the encryption process and by passwords set up by your company.

Our server is situated behind a firewall preventing hacking and virus infection.
We maintain two copies of your encrypted data, one on our server and one in CD storage.
Should you require a restoration of your files, these CD's will be delivered to you rather than sent via the Internet.
A complete DC first file set will be sent to you automatically upon setup.

How Does It Work?

Following the installation and configuration, a full backup of all designated files is performed.

Each night (or any specified time) the system determines which files have been modified and which need to be backed up. Backups are performed regularly and reliably according to your schedule.

Files are then compressed, encrypted and backed up to Starr's off-site data storage facility.

How Are Files Protected?

All files are encrypted with a 128bit encryption key for complete security.

Files are accessible only by your company.
